Industrial Partner
Microsoft Research Station Q-has recently made a significant commitment to topological quantum circuits based exclusively on Al/InAs interfaces [34, 35]. PIRE:HYBRID is taking a broader view, and will consider a larger “universe” of possible materials .Most of the materials combinations shown have never been realized with epitaxial precision and remain virtually unexplored. Microsoft Research and PIRE:HYBRID will exchange promising samples, fabrication recipes and theoretical results in search for the best materials for topological qubits. Roman Lutchyn of Microsoft Research will join the PIRE:HYBRID executive committee and coordinate the interactions with the industrial partner.
